Ulu Pandan Park Connector: Scenic Walk From Commonwealth Ave West To Boon Lay Way

With a total length of around 7 km, the Ulu Pandan Park Connector offers a way to walk, jog or cycle all the way from Commonwealth Ave West, close to the Buona Vista MRT Station, to the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) or Boon Lay Way, close to TradeHub 21.

The Ulu Pandan Park Connector follows along the Sungei Pandan canal. It consists of two paths, one on the north bank and one on the south bank.

Section 1 of the Ulu Pandan Park Connector: Ghim Moh / Dover Forest

Starting from the eastern end, the first stretch of the Ulu Pandan Park Connector stretches from the Ghim Estate to the Clementi Road. The Dover MRT Station is accessible from the South Bank of the Park Connector. The pathway to the Dover MRT Station from the Park Connector cuts through the Dover Forest.

Two bridge span across this section of the Park Connector. This provides access for those staying on the north bank, in the Mount Sinai Estate, to cross the Sungei Pandan canal to reach the Dover MRT Station.

In general, the South Bank is a bit wider than the North Bank walkways.

The next section of the Ulu Pandan Park Connector is from Clementi Road towards the AYE and Boon Lay Way, leading towards Jurong.

Unfortunately, there is no way to get across from the Ghim Moh / Mount Sinai section of the Park Connector to the Clementi / Jurong side other than taking the pedestrian crossing across Clementi Road.

At this stretch, there are also two banks – the North and the South.

Sungei Ulu Pandan

The South bank follows along the canal on the Clementi town side. This leads down to the Faber private housing estate before ending up at the Ayer Rajah Expressway. There is a bridge which cross the canal to connect to the International Business Park area in Jurong, and you can also carry on toward Pandan Reservoir, or even West Coast Park.

The North bank is offers a different path. It leads past the Sunset Way estate, and eventually makes a turn towards Boon Lay Way. From the North bank to the South bank, the only crossing is the pedestrian bridge at Sunset Way / Clementi Avenue 4.

If not, you can follow along the north bank till you reach Boon Lay Way (close to Trade Hub 21), cross the bridge to the opposite side and walk along the pathway next to International Business Park to reconnect with the South Bank at the AYE.

Otters at the Ulu Pandan Park Connector

Besides enjoying the scenery along the Ulu Pandan Park Connector, keep a look out for wildlife as well. Otters have been spotted around the canal, as well as large birds of prey which nest along the trees there. There is also the old railway bridge which cut across the canal at Sunset Way.
